Scholarships and Grants

Kent King Scholarships

The Kent King Scholarship has undergone exciting changes. We are now offering $275 to college seniors to defray the cost of obtaining teacher certification.

The Missouri State Teachers Foundation will award non-renewable $275 scholarships to college seniors planning a career in education. The recipients of the scholarships must be enrolled as full-time students at a college or university in preparation for the teaching profession. Students must also have met the requirements needed to enter their institution’s student teaching block.

Applicants must complete the scholarship applications accurately and completely to be considered for the scholarship. All applicants must be current MSTA members with a join date prior to October 1, 2018. The fall deadline for applying is October 19, 2018. Winners will be notified by October 26, 2018.
