Kent King Scholarships

The application submission period for the Kent King Scholarship is now closed. If you missed the opportunity to apply this year, please note that the application is available online from January 1-March 31 each year. Mark your calendar to be prepared and submit your application early.

The Missouri State Teachers Foundation awards up to four, non-renewable $500 scholarships to college seniors planning a career in education. The recipients of the scholarships must be enrolled as full-time students at a college or university in preparation for the teaching profession. Students must also have met the requirements needed to enter their institution’s student teaching block. Upon proof of meeting the above requirements, a check for $500 will be issued to the recipient(s).

MSTF Grants

The MSTF classroom grant application will be accepted until October 1, 2016. These grants provide funding to assist teacher’s innovative learning projects that positively impact student success in the classroom. The Foundation partners with individuals to expand educational opportunities and help fund projects that reach beyond the classroom.

About the Process

  • Applications will be accepted until October 1, 2016.

  • Grants will be awarded up to $1,000.

  • Applications are scored by a sub-committee of the MSTF.

  • Awards are announced by November 1.

  • Awardees are acknowledged at the MSTA Annual Convention in mid-November.

  • Contacts from MSTF will follow up with you during your project for possible article and photos.

About your Project

  • Funding is available for one year following the issue date.

  • MSTF is looking for innovative projects that promotes excellence in teaching and education.

  • Your project can be stand-alone or part of a larger project.

  • Expenses are allowable as described in the budget.
