MSTF Convention Scholarship for New Professionals

The Missouri State Teacher’s Foundation understands that some MSTA members, especially those newer to the profession (30 years old or younger OR in your first 7 years of teaching) have difficulty obtaining time off to attend MSTA’s Annual Convention. For 2017, MSTF is piloting a special scholarship opportunity for new professionals who will be attending MSTA’s Convention for the first time. MSTF will provide five scholarships of up to $200 to cover the cost of one substitute. Please fill out the application below. The deadline to apply is October 16.

Kent King Scholarships

The application submission period for the Kent King Scholarship is now closed. If you missed the opportunity to apply this year, please note that the application is available online from January 1-March 31 each year. Mark your calendar to be prepared and submit your application early.

The Missouri State Teachers Foundation awards up to four, non-renewable $500 scholarships to college seniors planning a career in education. The recipients of the scholarships must be enrolled as full-time students at a college or university in preparation for the teaching profession. Students must also have met the requirements needed to enter their institution’s student teaching block. Upon proof of meeting the above requirements, a check for $500 will be issued to the recipient(s).

MSTF $100 Mini Grants

The MSTF classroom mini grant application will be accepted throughout the year. There will be one grant awarded per month for a total of 12 grants throughout the year. These grants provide funding to assist teacher’s in positively impacting student success in the classroom.
